The below steps are required to be followed when you want to migrate BI Validator to a new server machine.
1) Installation in the new server machine
- Install BI Validator Desktop and BI Validator Server in the newer server machine
2) Copy data from old server machine
- Stop BI Validator Repository services in the old machine.
- Go to installed location; if the BIValidator Desktop is installed in the default path, then copy the 'data' folder in 'C:\app\Datagaps\Repository\pgsql'
3) Paste the copied data in the new server machine
- Stop BI Validator Repository services in the newer server machine.
- Go to installed location, if the BIValidator Desktop is installed in the default path, then go to 'C:\app\Datagaps\Repository\pgsql'
- Paste/ replace the copied 'data' folder from older server machine to the newer server machine.
- Start BI Validator services in the new server.
4) Configure the Repository and Server URL in the new server machine
- Point the repository to the location. Modify the repository details with the new host.
- Point the server URL to the new location. Go to Admin options>Manage Server, and modify with the new host.
- Restart the 'Datagaps BI Validator Server' service.
