To minimize the false positives, you will need to use the licensed version of DiffPDF.
  1. Download the latest diffpdf executable files.
  2. Copy the files to each computer where BI Validator is installed.
  3. Unzip the files and copy them to the <Installation_Directory>:\app\Datagaps\BIValidator folder.
  4. Log in to the BI Validator application.
  5. Navigate to Admin Options > Config Settings.
  6. Search for the DiffPDFAppearanceString and DiffPDFTextString properties and update them accordingly.

Optional Usage of ComparePDF for Appearance

For comparison of PDFs, you may use the licensed version ComparePDF as an option.

  1. Download the latest comparepdf executable files.
  2. Copy the files to each computer where BI Validator is installed.
  3. Unzip the files and copy them to the <Installation_Directory>:\app\Datagaps\BIValidator folder.
  4. Log in to the BI Validator application.
  5. Navigate to Admin Options > Config Settings.
  6. Set the UseComparePDFForAppearanceComparison property to True.
  7. Set the ComparePDFApplicationExe property to comparepdfcmd.exe. 
  8. Search for the ComparePDFAppearanceString and ComparePDFTextString properties and update them accordingly.
